Committee Goals and Objectives for the Year:
To conduct The Premier Dairy Goat Showcase.
Summary of Work Done Thus Far:
A very dedicated Local and National Committee conducted a very successful well run National Show, showcasing some of the top animals in the world. Exhibitors and volunteers were, and continue to be, the most important reason this show is a success. Beautiful crystal awards were given out and made quite an impression on visitors and exhibitors. Attempts were made to highlight area breeders as a celebration of ADGA’s 100th anniversary, but the sounds system in the arena was designed to reach the bleachers and could not easily be heard in the ring where most of the exhibitors and visitors were.
Financial Statement:
See accompanying statement.
Problems Encountered:
Very few problems were encountered for a show of this magnitude. The Farm Show Complex lost air condition capabilities for the first few days in the animal housing area, but was back on line through the rest of the week.
Decisions Requiring Board Action:
None
Work to be Completed by Next Year’s Committee:
To continue to provide a premier showcase for dairy goats in a positive environment.
