* Utah will be scheduled again in 2009, but not in 2008 because of historically limited participation.

Appraisals are held seven days a week
Dates, Area & Appraiser are all subject to change!

  • States not listed: Arrangements, if they can be coordinated, must be made by contacting ADGA.
  • Minimum Stops permit greater efficiencies for the Association and this is the preferred method used when planning schedules. Should one or more member herds want to meet at one site to make up a Minimum Stop ($225.00 minimum fee), these members are encouraged to submit their applications and application fees at the same time (completing a separate application for each member's herd). Members willing and able to transport their goats to a combined Minimum Stop will be charged as though all goats appraised at the stop were one herd (except for the application fees).
  • The herds of members who are in geographical areas too remote to be included in a normal schedule may consider requesting a "Special" appraisal session. The same holds true for a member that overly restricts possible appraisal dates. Consult your ADGA Guidebook (Article X.D) for more information on "Specials."
  • Please note a change recently approved by the Board at the 2006 annual meeting. This change is the approval for assessing travel and lodging expenses to the applicant if a single stop is 150 one way miles off of the trip “loop”. While we will make every attempt to plan a trip loop that can accommodate everyone there are some situations that do not fit. However, we hope this works to the advantage of everyone. For example, if a herd that is too large to transport cannot fit into the schedule they now have the flexibility that will allow the applicant to just pay the actual expenses of the out of the way stop without paying the full fees that a special session would have cost.
  • Be sure to indicate dates you cannot be appraised using the above schedule on your application.
