Show stats Maternal Genetics:
GCH Sir Echo Bray 2*M, dam of our Spotlight buck *B Sir Echo Take a Chance, started winning her classes as a young doeling, and has remained consistent in that ability to stay in the top of her class through her 4th season of showing. Her wins at local shows in AZ, NM and CA include: 1x BDIS, 7x BOB, 5x GCH, 3x RGCH, and 6x BUB.
Bray has also been shown in three National shows and placed wonderfully consistent on both the East and West coast. She was 6th place yearling in 2002 at the Pueblo, Colorado Nationals, was the 5th place 3 yr old in 2004 at the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Nationals, and most recently was the 5th place 4 yr old at the 2005 Nationals in Spokane, Washington.
Bray's dam, GCH Mornims Jasper Jasmine *M, is a strikingly beautiful black doe that has had an equally impressive show career. Never beaten on the local show circuit, her show ring wins include 5x BOB, 7x GCH, 6x RGCH, and 5x BUB. Jasmine has also produced GCH Sir Echo Labor of Love 2*M, sired by imported Swiss buck Sento, who at age 5 this year was 5th place in Spokane.
Sir Echo Brickers is a beautiful 2 yr old maternal 1/2 sister to Chance. Brickers has inherited her dam's classy show style and is placing consistently in the top of her classes. Most recently, Brickers was the 4th place 2 yr old at the 2005 ADGA Nationals in Spokane, Washington.
Bray's sire, *B Redtail Ridge Balzli, comes from a strong set of new Swiss genetics recently introduced into the US and is already proving his value for Sir Echo Farm by producing their 2005 ADGA Nationals 3rd place Senior Get of Sire as well as 5th place 2 year old milker, 5th place 4 year old milker and 8th place 4 year old milker.
Balzli's Dam, CH Redtail Ridge Oniya, was 4th Place at the ADGA Nationals in Sacramento CA in 1999. Oniya had great rear udder height and width, which seems to be a gift she gave to Balzli as he has since consistently passed this on to his daughters here at Sir Echo Farm.
Milk Bucket stats / Maternal genetics:
We are extremely excited to announce that GCH Sir Echo Bray 2*M has recently been named to the 2005 Elite Doe List. Bray milked 1900 lbs in 2004 and is predicted at 2220 for 2005.
Bray's daughter, Sir Echo Brickers, was also named to the same list in 2004 proving this ability runs in the family. Brickers milked 1750lbs as a yearling and now as a 2 year old has an Ext 305 of 2640 lbs after 199 days.
Bray's yearling daughter, Sir Echo Full Moon, looks to following in the footsteps of her mom and older sister with an Ext 305 of 1720 lbs after 174 days.
Bray's dam, GCH Mornims Jasmine 1*M, was the # 4 Top Ten Breed Leader as a 3 yr old with a 305 day lactation of 3240 lbs.
Dam of Bray's sire, CH Redtail Ridge Oniya, has a 305 day lactation of 2606 lbs.
The Swiss genetics contributed by "Balz" imported semen carries with it the history and development of the Swiss Dairy Goat achievements for milk production as well as type. His dam's name is Tina and thanks to Redtail Ridge we have the following information on that official milk record. Tina's milking average (5 freshenings), recorded over 260-300 day lactations was 2650# with a 3.6 % bf average.
GCH Sir Echo Labor of Love, maternal sister to Sir Echo Bray, has a current Ext 305 of 2180. Labor of Love is dam to Sir Echo Nickey, another Sir Echo 2004 Elite Doe, with a 2004 305 of 2540. Nickey's Ext 305 for 2005 is 2340.
Linear Appraisal stats / Maternal Genetics:
GCH Sir Echo Bray 2*M freshened the day before LA this year as a 4 yr old so unfortunately was not appraised in 2005, but has been appraised each year since she was a kid. Her 3 yr old Appraisal score was FS 89 V + E E.
Both above mentioned maternal ½ sisters to Chance, out of two different sires, each scored a 43 on Rear Udder Height this year in LA.
Bray's sire, *B Redtail Ridge Balzli, is the son of Swiss Balz. Our thanks to Redtail Ridge for the great information they have provided about Balz and dam in Switzerland. Balz' dam, Tina, has been consistently scored at 6/6/6/6 as a 4, 5, and 6 yr old. These four categories include topline/body capacity; foundation/feet/legs; udder/attachment/shape; teats/shape/ size/placement. The highest score for mature does in all categories is '6'. .Balz' sire, Pascal, received a 6/6 score, the highest score possible, as a 5 yr old.
Redtail Ridge Balzli's dam, CH Redtail Ridge Oniya, appraised at FS 87 V V V V.
Show stats / Paternal Genetics:
One Oak Hill Sin Chalice Chance, sire to *B Sire Echo Take a Chance, is another buck that is already starting to make his mark on Oberhasli genetics by throwing soundness of structure and correctness of conformation in his kids. Chalice Chance proved himself this year by producing the 2nd place Junior Get of Sire at the 2005 ADGA Nationals as well as the 1st place Junior Kid.
CH One Oak Hill Sin Chalice, dam of Sin Chalice Chance, is a beautiful doe who has been shown on a limited basis but has proven herself in those few shows going 3x GCH and 1x BDIS. Chalice then went on to be the 2nd place 5 year old with 2nd udder at the 2004 ADGA Nationals.
Chalice Chance's maternal ½ sister, CH FDF Pleasant Fields Challice (pending), is following in their mom's footsteps also making her mark in the show ring with 3 GCH wins and a BDIS win.
Sin Chalice's dam, One Oak Hill Private Chaos, has been shown in only a very limited number of shows but she made those few visits worthwhile by going 2x GCH.
Milk Bucket stats / Paternal genetics:
Although records here are not as extensive as those for the maternal bloodlines, those animals that are represented are true assets to the Oberhasli breed. They include multiple *B bucks, an 8*M, and a 3* milker, and 2 does with lifetime DHI records of more than 6000 lbs. Some of the finest genetic bloodlines available lie behind the sire of this fine young man including CH and GCH animals from farms such as Tonka Tails, Y-Knot, Body Shops, Sunlyn and One Oak Hill.
Linear Appraisal Stats / Paternal Genetics:
