Welcome Erin!

The American Dairy Goat Association would like to welcome Erin Holder as ADGA’s Performance Programs Manager. We are excited to have her on board.

Erin will join ADGA as a remote employee, beginning on Tuesday, October 7, with in-person office visits as needed.

Erin’s work history includes project management for one of the nation’s largest retailers and managing her herd of dairy goats. Her experiences working with internal and external partners and managing teams will aid her in this role.

She says, “After so many years in tech, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for how good data leads to better decisions. I still remember how excited I was when I first started digging into DHIR and LA data on animals I wanted to purchase, and it wasn’t long before I had signed up to begin gathering data on my own herd. I’ve only had dairy goats for six years now (and even changed breeds along the way!), but I’m starting to see the results of using these programs in my own herd, and I’m excited to keep applying them as I work toward my herd goals in the years ahead.

My family is also active in 4-H, and I love seeing young people develop their passion for dairy goats. It’s shown me how important it is to make these tools approachable and useful for breeders at every level. I look forward to working directly with ADGA members to apply these programs effectively to manage and develop their herds.”
