After you’ve ordered DNA, it is your responsibility to send the sample to the lab. Once the lab receives your sample, the following criteria are met:

  1. There was enough genetic material provided to complete the tests.
  2. The parentage provided information was a match.

***If there is not enough material to complete the tests, ADGA will contact you and send a new submission form which will need to be sent to the lab with a new sample.

ADGA typically receives the results within three weeks and all DNA orders should receive results via email within 60 days after the sample was received by the lab.  If you have not received a sample result in 60 days, please contact ADGA support at https://support.adga.org.

Once the DNA has been received by ADGA, you can view the results under the DNA RESULTS option. You can also see tests that are still pending under REQUESTS.

Results for animals bred by you and animals on your currently owned list will be displayed.  After a DNA result is recorded on this screen the result will also be recorded on the registration certificate. Any future registration certificates that include the animal will display the DNA result for that animal. A DNA result for any animal that was typed as an unregistered kid will not be displayed on the initial registration certificate, however, this will be a future enhancement to the software.
