Welcome, Julia Cardin!

The American Dairy Goat Association would like to welcome Julia Cardin as ADGA’s DNA Coordinator!

Here’s a bit more about Julia, in her own words:

“Hello, ADGA members! I’m Julia Cardin, from Chico, California. I attended California State University-Chico for my undergraduate studies, where I earned a Bachelor’s in Animal Science and a minor in Agricultural Business. I am finishing my master’s in Animal Biology at the University of California-Davis, where my project focused on dairy cross calves at a commercial calf ranch.

I have grown up with goats my entire life, as my mom got goats when she was in college. She raised unregistered goats, but when I was in FFA we joined the world of ADGA in 2018. Now, as a completely registered herd, I participate in showing and appraising our herd of Nigerians, Nubians, and a LaMancha. I also work very closely with a friend’s herd of Toggenburgs, so you’ll also see me in that ring at local shows.

Two years ago, I took my first step toward increasing my involvement with ADGA by joining the Registration Committee. Now, I am excited to serve the membership in this staff role and be a larger part of the association that I am so passionate about.”

Julia can be contacted best through the Support Ticket System or by emailing performanceprograms@adga.org regarding DNA questions or concerns.
